CONDITIONS OF SALE

Sales Policy

American Metric Corporation operates Monday - Friday 8 AM until 6PM EST. We offer same business day shipping on in-stock items. Orders requiring Urgent Delivery (NDA, Fed Ex etc.) must be confirmed by phone, fax or email with our Expedite Order Department to confirm the shipment can be made in the necessary timely manner requested. While we make reasonable efforts to comply with our customer’s shipping requests, we are not responsible for any damages whatsoever that may result from the untimely delivery of our goods. An Expedite Fee will be required on expedite orders. "Direct" or "Drop" shipments are available. If goods are to be shipped outside of the US or its territories, then it is the customer’s responsibility to secure all export clearances and to pay any duties, taxes, or tariffs that may be imposed.

When UPS is not applicable (because of weight or length, etc.) motor freight carriers are selected on a "Best Way" basis and shipped collect, unless other arrangements are made at time of order placement. Motor freight orders must be placed before 2PM because of carrier pickup schedules. Delivery to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is available for a courier fee. Other shipping methods should be arranged at each order placement. However, all sales are made on the condition that ownership and the risks associated therewith pass to the customer when the goods are delivered to the shipper.

Pricing information does not appear on packing slips. Freight and Service charges are listed on invoices only. Sales and use taxes are not included as all goods are sold for direct resale by the customer or as a component of product sold by the customer. If the goods are consumed or used by customer in its business then it is the responsibility of customer to so inform seller. Payment of any sales or use tax that may be required is the responsibility of the customer .

Minimum Order Requirement

Return Policy

For all Returns / Shipment Discrepancies a "REFUNDED GOODS AUTHORIZATION NUMBER (RGA)" must be requested in writing within 30 days of the original ship date before merchandise may be returned. The RGA will be faxed to you. The following requirements apply*
  1. *A minimum sales amount of $35.00 per purchase is required.
  2. *Only customers who purchase more than $4,000 per year are authorized to request RGA’s
  3. *Items must be received in original condition and packaging.
  4. *A restocking fee will apply on goods returned.
Upon receipt and inspection of returned goods, a credit for the amount of goods invoiced, less freight charges and restocking fee, will be issued. Debit memos cannot be honored unless the RGA number is referenced.

*Note: Shop-made items, cut timing belts, linear motion products and any other made-to-order parts cannot be returned for credit.

Order Cancellation

Because Purchase Orders for in-stock items are filled the same or following business day, we ask that cancellations be made immediately by phone followed by a written confirmation by fax or mail. For the quickest response include purchase order number, items on backorder, and the date or order. Unless the Order has already been filled, standard catalog times will be canceled. Special items will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Warranty

There are no warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose which extend beyond the catalog description of the goods and none shall be implied by law. The parties agree that the buyer’s sole exclusive remedy against the seller shall be repair or replacement of a defective part or goods. The buyer agrees that no other remedy, including but not limited to, consequential and incidental damages, shall be available to him.

We are constantly expanding our product line. If you need a specific Metric or ANSI item that we do not stock, we will try to obtain a source. We also offer sprockets, gears, and machine parts made to your specifications.
